Wine Tasting
Tuscia has been divided into 8 areas underlining its variability and providing tips for wine tourists and lovers, namely: Lake Bolsena, Valle del Paglia, Teverina, Cimino, Lake Vico, Via Clodia, Maremma and Castro.
The presence of more than 70 wine producers, reviewed and tested by experts, testify to the exponential growth of the qualitative production of Tuscia DOC and IGT wines, merit due to producers’ commitment and technological innovation.
Among the autochthonous vines there are Grechetto, Roscetto, Aleatico di Gradoli, Sangiovese and Montepulciano. Particularly worth mentioning is one of the first five Italian historical DOC (Denominazione Origine Controllata): Est!Est!Est! from Montefiascone.
Tuscia’s best wine labels can be tasted following the wine itineraries called Strada dei Vini dell’Alta Tuscia, which include the following producers: San Giovenale, Trappolini, Le Lase, Tenuta Ronci di Nepi, Paolo e Noemia D’Amico, Sergio Mottura, Falesco, Occhipinti, Le Coste, Tenuta Sant’Isidoro.
